My name is Shay and I’m a self-taught baker from New Zealand (that little country beside Australia). I started this channel in 2019 while I was on parental leave and needing an outlet for my creativity. I love cooking and everything that relates to food that tastes amazing.
You should know that I’m totally obsessed with food. Above all, I love eating food, especially while in the presence of the good company. I truly believe that cooking should be fun and recipes should be easy and flexible to make. So in this blog that’s exactly what you will find - easy recipes that taste amazing!
While most of my recipes are around baking I am aiming to provide a good range of recipes, including Indian cuisine. My husband is from Kerala, India and I have learnt to make this tummy happy by learning to cook Kerala food (which I'm also obsessed with).

I think you would get a different texture and more or a sour taste. Have not tried though!

Made the cookies and honest to God, great job! My cook time was more like 18 minutes and might bump to 20 for color. This is probably the best chocolate chip cookie I have had and I do think the base dough is transferrble to other combinations of flavor. Note: You should folllow the directions exactly as stated knowing you might have to extend cooking time. You should buy dark chocolate bars and chop. The difference in how the chocolate disperses and varied sizes of the chocolate makes a difference. Plus, chocolate chips have stabalizers in them impacting the chocolate feel of the cookie. GREAT JOB. Now, I don't have to pay $40 in shipping to get them from Australia! (Though, I might as a treat!) Note: CORN FLOUR IS CORN STARCH!!! and You might want to test your oven temp. Put in for the original time but watch and see if you need to leave them in increments. That's how I found the balance for my oven.

Step 1 in your written recipe instructions does not match your video. In the video, you add milk later directly into the pan with vanilla extract, but in your written instructions, you say to whisk the milk together with the eggs, etc.. Then you re-mention milk in step 2. I figured you wish to fix the written instructions.

I made these cookies and had to bake it for much longer.. around 20 - 25 minutes.. And also cut the size in half. The cookies actually spread a lot more than in the video. But the taste was awesome so I didnt mind the spreading.
You should freeze them and then you can bake them at 200°C - 220°C they won't take too much time in the oven ( 15min ) and they won't spread too much instead you will get chunky cookies 👌🏻
